Hello, hello. Happy 4th of July weekends. It is Saturday morning trying to bring you guys another episode Because I had a pretty good response from the last one. So this over the next quick few minutes my goal is to bring Kind of a little background about myself So for future episodes you guys kind of know where I'm coming from it in my background to kind of tie them in So so my background and and and what I do currently so I am a recruiter. I get people jobs for a living I tell people my profession boiled down is I'm a professional friend maker and so even more specifically I work with guys and girls in the tech space and even more specifically I work with guys and girls in the software development space and so How I kind of got here is I started at Vaco five years ago I moved to Nashville from South Carolina graduated from University South Carolina go Cox in 2011 and move quickly up here to do music with my good friend Jake Etheridge and It kind of gave it a shot and and for a short little bit of time Did the whole honky-tonk thing played the honky-tonk and did some stuff?

You know music row and in the studio and But got connected to Vaco through a friend of a friend and really the rest of the history. I Started our national practice basically what that means that was recruiting for fortune 500 clients across the country. So I was calling into the Bay area for Yahoo Disney and Sony I was Yahoo before Melissa Meyer in the data breach I was calling into the clients and doing all types of skill sets so IT Accounting finance telecom you name it and so basically I did that for for close to two years now after about a year So after a lot of a lot of developers specifically in the Bay area hanging up on me Realize I needed to kind of shift my focus and do something to where I can work with people in person So I had to had the opportunity through Vaco to interview with our Charlotte and Raleigh office ended up choosing our Raleigh office because obviously of research triangle and Obviously the technology presence out there.

So went out there for about a year worked under great leadership Taylor Roberts Sid Mitchner Dave Rodey and learned a ton and had the opportunity to get really invested the texting out Raleigh I at the time I did everything in tech right so infrastructure Development business analyst project management recruiting your name in so Over a few months I kind of gravitated more towards development So obviously as you can tell become more focused as my career is progressed and got really invested in the dot net community in Raleigh and Met some great individuals out there Jim Duffy David Green Patrick Stiger Holly just too many names to name and so Had the opportunity to get really invested in that group They offered me the spot to speak at their code conference right of that in 2014 2015 and And after really getting best with them.

I was like man This is what I want to do I only want to work with developers and so I had the opportunity Through Vaco again through my mentor Scott Gordon to move back to Nashville To only work within the development space and so for last three years. I've been solely working with software developers in Nashville Dotnet Java open source. You name it. I've been recruiting on it I've been elected VP of the dotnet user group Which is one of the largest meetups in Nashville. We've run about 65 people a month and I was elected VP of my developer friend so And recently even more so I actually had the opportunity to speak at Nationals Premier Code conference with the music city code So my talk Mom, sorry about this is recruiters suck use them Because really we do and this industry and day and age is a lot of recruiters out there and we're really kind of known as the use car salesman of the industry and so My background and what my goal is is basically to give the same content I give in my presentations For these podcasts for these short little podcasts So obviously if if anyone has any questions or has any topics There's a feature we can call in and ask me but based over the next few weeks.

I'll be to I'll be breaking down bits and pieces of my talk and Basically presenting them through this app so again Hope you guys enjoyed listening and I look forward to catching up with you guys here in next few days. Thanks
