So I want to talk about, let's go and dive into the top. So I want to talk about partnering with recruiters, both on the candidate side and then the hiring manager side because right now, things a little jacked up. Right. The market's a little jacked up right now because the toothpaste is out of the tube as I've been told and I love that analogy. I think we're going to be in a highly virtual remote world from here on out in some way, shape or form. I will also tell you that has changed the name of the game when it comes to partnering with recruiters. For example, I'm now working with clients out of South Carolina, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, where else Pennsylvania.
Like I'm working with clients across the country now because here's the deal. I can provide you as a company the same experience, the same local experience, aka taking care of candidates and screening them as we do here in Nashville. Now from a job seeker side, right? You also, pre-COVID, I was like, hey, listen, you need a partner with like one or two recruiters locally and like, if out of time recruiters calls you great, right? Now you almost need to be working with like five or six recruiters now across the country. So let's break it down from a job seeker side real quick. And again, a few more comments.
Amy, good morning. Thank, yes. Much. I appreciate that. What's going on? Murtaja, thank you for tuning in. Yes, North Carolina, love North Carolina. Love rowing my people out there. Shout out, make a roly office. So let's talk about the job seeker side, right? Like I said, pre-COVID, one or two recruiters like keep it small, keep it tight. Like don't really submit your resume all around town now. Now I would say you need to have like your one or two people locally, right? You always need to be networking locally, right? I think that's where recruiters really, really, really need to focus when it has a job.
So you need to focus on your local recruiters because those local recruiters will be your eyes and ears and be able to network for you locally, right? A lot of people don't realize that when you partner with a recruiter locally, they are your ability to network locally, right? So the people who work with me in Nashville, I'm able to say these people are hiring, these people are hiring. Don't go work there, you should work there, right? Phil Hunt, Phil, I don't know if you should hear, Phil, you're great, right? I've heard of major things about you. Go ahead up Phil, Phil's awesome, right? Phil doesn't the right way, but again, I know that because I'm here locally, right?
That's the power of local recruiters and you need those. Every single person on here needs to have their own local recruiter. Now, here's where it gets crazy. You need to also find three or four recruiters across the country. Now, the whole age, old question, Taylor, tell me about how do I find a recruiter? Listen, you got to kiss a lot of frogs. I've been having this conversation a lot with a lot of people. You got to kiss a lot of frogs. You got to go through a lot of duds. You got to talk to a lot of recruiters, right? But I'm telling you, they can be an absolute gang changer.
So for me, what I would do is I would talk to recruiters nonstop right now. Like three minute calls, seven minute calls, 10 minute calls, nothing more than 10 minutes. Have calls, have calls, have chats, figure out which recruiters you really like, right? Because I'll tell you this, I'd find the recruiters in hot tech cities, right? So if you're in DC and you want to partner with me, I'll get you connect with my team, but for me, you need to be able to partner with people in hot tech cities, right? The Nashville's, the, the, the Atlanta's, the New York cities. The San Francisco's, I would, if I were you, I would locate recruiters in those cities, start networking and whatnot.
Then what I would do is stay in touch. Now, you're, now we're about to get to the hiring manager side here. So Phil, if you're still watching the hiring manager, watch this, I'll get to you in a second, but I want to tell you this. So as a job, you play Dang Taylor, that's a lot of freaking work. Yes, it is a lot of freaking work, but I will tell you this. How important is your career? How important is the next step in your career? How important is it to provide for your family? How important is it to level up in your career? It's incredibly important.
So why in the heck would you not do the work to be able to do that successfully? That's why I don't understand people like, oh my gosh, recruiters, we, you know, they suck, blah, blah, blah, whatever, blah, I don't want to talk to them. Listen, we are your key to your success moving forward in your career. Can you do it by yourself? Absolutely. My brother has great success working on his own, has not used a recruiter. But I'm telling you, that's more of the exception. You need to have somebody who's your advocate. You need to have somebody who's your counselor, hence guidance counselor 2.0. You need to have all of that.
Okay. Higher managers, listen up. So if you're a job seeker, you can hang up now. You can just hang up and go away. If you want, I love you to stay. We don't have to. Right? Again, the whole point of this is small bite size pieces of information so you can go and log off and have fun the rest of your day. Higher managers, listen. Game has changed. Game has changed, Jordan. My career isn't nearly as important as finding out where you got that shirt. Doven is awesome. I want to get sponsored by doven. So if anybody has a doven connection, they don't have to pay me.
They can just give me floral. I wear it. It's great. So anybody who's got the doven hook up, let me know. Seth, you'll see tens of thousands of dollars in ROI for that work. Listen, Seth gets it. Right? So Seth, I was very happy to get Seth on the show a few months back. Seth and I have talked about from a candidate side, what does it look like within the job search right now and just the market in general? I will tell you this. Seth is correct. Seth is absolutely correct. If you partner with recruiter who you can trust, they will able to leverage tens of thousands of dollars to your bottom line and to your family and to your livelihood.
I think that's worth kissing a bunch of frogs. Jordan, return to the summer shirts. I'm loving it. Yes, the return of the summer shirts. I got a bunch more to show you all. We'll be taking donations to buy more shirts because I have a budget. I have to stick to. I met Becky. Thank you so much. I appreciate you were done. So it's not hiring majors real quick. hiring managers, the game has changed. You don't have to work with the recruiting firm in your city if you don't want to. If you're a hiring major and you watch this and you're in like Miami and you want to work with me, let's do it.
Let's go. If you're a hiring manager and you're in Whitefish, Montana, think that's a city, Whitefish. And you have a tech practice and you need help and you're a do a fuller note. Let me know. Hot your boy. Oh, help. My team will help. We're recruiting for companies all across the country right now. Fully remote. And you know what's cool about us is if you work with me and my team, you get the local experience as in like we zoom, we test, we reference, we do all this stuff that we do with local kids, but we can do it on a national level. Why would you not want to engage us?
Makes sense. Makes total sense. Right? Are we more expensive? Yeah, absolutely. We're more expensive. Right? But we sent you three resumes. You hired one to happen to one of my clients yesterday. They had a ton of people bail. They've been trying to hire this position for months. No one showed up to the interviews they use indeed. They called me up two weeks later. Sent him three cans. They hired one yesterday. Easy. Easy. Now, it takes time to find candidates and so you need to go ahead and engage me or engage my team or engage another recruiting firm ASAP because the candidate lead time is two to four weeks right now, especially for senior little talent.
But it's crazy right now because as a hiring manager, you can partner with any recruiting firm that you want around the country. Whether it's me, whether it's somebody else, let's say you've been following this one recruiting firm for like years now. You love the way they do business, right? But they're based in Utah. Now's the time to do it. Now's the time to do it. So again, that's it. That's it. Quick 12 minutes, actually 10 minutes, because about two minutes of insurance, just listen to beach jams. If you have any questions, add me. Comment me. Let me know. I'd love to answer any questions. Shoot me a DM.
