I sent out one yesterday. 10 tips and tricks on how to network really practical advice. Again, we have some comments Kathy. Randy, I'm looking forward to what you have for us. Thank you. That's a lot of pressure. Hopefully I will deliver. Brandon was a buddy. So again, Alex Poolard Design, all my design stuff. If you're looking for freelance work, hit him up or hit me up and I'll get you connected. A shout out to Summer Leddington. She is doing a major overhaul my website. That is going to be the place to check out. So looking forward to that. And then Drew Skeleton drew. I've done a lot of my video work recently.
And then Brandon R.A. with Brandon 78. Let's take a tucky. I'm going to show up his name right here. Brandon R.A. hit him up. If you are an individual small business, one is to get into content creation at a very low cost. That's very reasonable hit him up. I think he's got a really good corner of the market right now with what he's trying to do. So we're going to go to start. So at the end of my year, I get very sentimental. I get my feels. And I go start clean up all my calendar invites. And so, you know, that's kind of one of my productivity hacks.
I'm very, very OCD when it comes to my calendar. And if you're tuning in, you're probably like, yeah, I'm looking forward to like looking at a working with the recruiter and stuff today. I'm just talking about some productivity hacks. Some productivity hacks and year and review. You know, I do have to say, my good people, what's that buddy from Thompson station, what's going on? So let's talk about some productivity hacks first. And then I'll get in my field. So if you're, so if you just want to get to the good stuff and you can log off, there you go. I'm interested. Let me know some productivity hacks you have for the new year things you implement.
Like so, for example, me, I do, I'm very, like I said, OCD about my calendar. I have been deleting, reoccurring invites lately and re we're purposely them. It's different times. And really keeping my calendar clutter free. So that's one productivity hack I do. I'm interested to see if anybody else has productivity hacks. Another thing as well. I've always gone back and forth between note taking between notion, which is a software tool that you can take notes with, Google keep, and then just, you know, just pen and paper, right pen and paper. I'm still on pen and paper. So trying to figure out that workflow. But that that's another thing that I'm trying to do more of is write down more things.
I think in today's business world and I think anybody, we go, go, go so much that sometimes we just forget things. And so, so yeah, that's that's kind of what I've been doing. Kathy says I'm a huge to do list huge on following it to do list. Yeah, absolutely. So I've started, Kathy, and thank you for commenting on this. I've actually started building out setting aside an hour, hour and a half invite in my calendar and building my to-do list in that calendar invite because I think a lot of times I think we all have these to-do lists and they get 15 things long. And we never put it in our calendar.
So then three weeks later we're like, ah, shoot. I haven't done any of my to-do lists because I'm not working in my calendar. So one thing I've been doing, Kathy, is I've been actually implementing. I've been implementing my to-do's in a block invite that I continue to move in my calendar every day to make sure I get it done. And that's actually been pretty successful lately. Stephen, I use Outlook to-do lists and set reminders. Stephen, I'm curious. So I love Outlook to-do's because VACO, we use Microsoft. So I use the to-do list as well. I've actually started using the to-do list within kind of a recruiting workflow.
I'm not going to get super nitty gritty because I'll bore everybody. But I've used to-do lists with that. Sandy Reminders, I'm curious. Stephen, do you set reminders within to-do lists? Is that something that you use? Is that within the to-do app? So I'm curious with that. So comment on that. And I'd love to hear more about juggling notes and to-do's between different formats. Yes, absolutely. If anybody has any good workflows, so what I do personally is this new kind of blocking out like an hour, hour and a half on my calendar for to-do's has really helped me a ton. So that's been big that I've started doing that.
And my recruiting workflow, right? Because in my-when I say recruiting workflow, I've talked about this, right? I have to meet people. I have to get them submitted to jobs. I have to line up interviews. When I meet somebody, I, you know, I have to get all the paperwork done. I do all of those to-do lists within my outlook because it's so easy to just drag emails over and to-do. That's one thing Microsoft's done, and that thing's amazing. Is it's the whole drag that email into the to-do list section and it creates it to-do. So that's awesome. I use Notion for a bit. Notion's very clunky for me.
I know a lot of software engineers that use it. I know a big fan of it. I try to use Google Keep as well because my Gmail is open, but I really just use Google Keep for things that I need to access on my iPhone because I'm a Dell PC guy, but everything else is Apple. Again, some people want me to switch to Apple. I don't know, TVD on that. So that's kind of my workflow. Brandon, a Q&E scheduling for appointments, voice messages, speaking to them, work ahead of what you work ahead of when you need it. Yeah. So Brandon, RV and I, Brandon actually introduced me to this, and I do it all time now.
Now a lot of my friends do it. I do voice memos. So actually, I'm starting to respond to emails with a voice memo because a voice memo is faster than typing out something. If it is a long, if it is a long email, so I get a lot of people asking for resume critiques. I just look at the resume talking to my phone and then send them a voice memo. So then they can consume it the way when and where they want to do it. So that's something I've been doing for speed. So Brandon shut up for you with voice messages because that's helped me a ton.
Yes, 2020, golden number one streamline. Absolutely. It's a sense I want to talk about it. Right. I mean, I don't know. Like I think everybody likes productivity hacks and some curious. If you're still watching, I'm really curious. So, so keep sure you use the outlook for reminders and schedules. Absolutely. One thing I've been using if you have an Apple Watch, I've actually been using Siri for reminders. So again, throw another thing because you're like, Taylor, you're talking about using to do listen outlook and now you're, I use all of it. But for me, I, for me, I do a lot of, you know, Hey Siri, remind me at nine to do this because, oops, Siri just went off because a lot of times, I get my ideas and thoughts when I like walk my dog on around the house or I'm cooking.
And so I don't have my phone near me. So I just talking to my Apple Watch and go, hey, you know, remind me to do this. And that's been a good workflow as well. And then when I get the push notification within iOS, I then obviously put it into my outlook block to do things. Cool. So any of thoughts, comments on streamline, I just want to talk about it. You know, just to see what everybody else uses, you know, everybody, you know, like I said outlook to do list. I think that's been kind of consistent. So I know, at least I'm on the right path with that.
So here's the deal. I'm going to log off. That was it. I think that was good. I don't want to go into my feels too much. We'll say that for another pod because I have a lot to say there. So again, let me know if you have any comments, questions. If you need to text me, join my texting community. I am almost at 200 people within my community. That that wants to get active job search tips to their phone every single day. Oh, we got a few more comments coming in. This is good stuff. Michael Kiver, Google Sweet and Workspace with Gmail. Michael, what does Workspace?
I'm curious. Comment real quick. What is Workspace? Steve, I flag emails and outlook and use this to set to do their mind. So that's good. I like that. I have a question for a few people who are still watching now. People got bored with me and they're like, that pass. I'm not learning anything. Does anybody know, is there a software out there? I would pay somebody. I would pay somebody to write a software or a small app or I don't know what to basically comb through my emails and send me push notifications for emails that I have not responded to. Does anybody have, does anybody know of that?
Because I deal with a ton of emails a day, recruiters, and I think salespeople in general, we usually email like, you know, like mad people. And so I miss out on a lot of emails. Like I have to constantly comb through my emails every day to make sure I don't miss anybody. I was going to be, you know, yesterday, I completely missed somebody asking me about a job and I just missed it. And so it would be cool if there's a software out there that push notifications to you. Like, hey, you haven't responded to this email. That would be nice. So if anybody knows of that, please app me.
If you're a software developer, that needs a project and I also want to do that, I think I will pay you to do it because I need that desperately in my life. So, but yes, even again, flag emails, I've thought of workflows with that. I just kind of keep everything. I don't do inbox zero with my work emails because I have so many emails. I need it out in front of me. So Michael Keymer said that workspace with Gmail is newer. I'm actually kind of curious with that. And not not sure about the specific function, but I just paid for an app called Shuck and helps me get to inbox zero.
I don't know. Maybe I'll check that out. Does it work without look? Because I'm curious about that. So I use obviously outlook in my name. We don't use G Suite at make out. So I need to check that. Not sure about that specific function. I'm curious. All right. I'll check that out. Shuck. Thank you. And for that. I'm going to write that down. Brandon just started using colored flags. Color flags responded, follow up, and later. Kind of like that. I like that. How can we don't talk about this a lot? We need to talk about this more. So Chuck and thank you so much. I'm going to write that down.
See, this is why we do this. We all learn from each other. See, this is, it was just all learn from each other. I love this. Cool. Well, if anybody has any more comments on how they do things, if they have a product, have you had a please comment right now. I'm going to play the outro music right now. Please comment if you have any productivity hacks. If not, we'll go ahead and end this one. Again, not every, this is my daily journal. Right? Daily journal comes to you all with thoughts. I'm big right now with the end of the year with product titty hacks.
And so if you have any more product tippy hacks, shoot me an email at Taylor. They forgot.com or just shoot me a text. And we'll go from there. So again, thank y'all for tuning to guys. That's a 2.0. I will be off tomorrow. And we will be live all next week Monday, 3 Thursday. And then I will be off for two weeks to take some time and just relax and not run my mouth all day. So again, thank y'all for tuning in. Join my texting community. Jada out out sport design, summer, wedding, to Drew Skeleton, Brandon Arbe. Thank you again for my community and Michael, Stephen, Brandon, Katya, key short.
Here, it. Thank you again so much to you and y'all. Y'all have a good one.
