I'm gonna go ahead and get started. So I've taken a few days off. And the reason for that is because it's been really, really cool. So when I set out in 2021, Cathy, a good morning, it's good to see you. So when I set out in 2021, if you all can recall, most of you who are tuning in, my goal was to sign five new clients. So basically it was one a quarter. And then basically another one maybe could come in for a total of five. Well, all that being said, I'm at four new clients as of April. And so I've been inundated with individuals who wanted to work with me, which I'm very, very grateful for.

Very, very thankful for shot she was going on in. It's been a bit, hoping to do a well, big dog. So very, very fortunate. So that's why I've been kind of off the radar, off the grid a little bit. Taking time off Twitter, my social media, because I'm just trying to get caught up right now, because I've been able to sign one enterprise account that you all are very well aware of. I've been able to sign one startup. I have another contract out as well for another startup. Believe it or not, both in the content creation space, which that's kind of funny. And then I am talking to another individual.

So that's four right there. So very excited, very thankful. So that's why I've been off the grid. I'm probably gonna be off the grid until that midweek from posting content, because I need to catch up and make sure all my people are taking care of. So just want to know that. Also, I can't see thank you so much, appreciate it. So just a few housekeeping things always shout out, brain to 78 and brain an RFA for again, kind of heading up this whole content creation machine that we got going on. Alex Pooler, Alex Pooler design, he has everything copied, video editing, graphic design, all that.

So shout out to pooler. And then Noah Allen. Noah Allen is doing all the video content. I am hired interns. So I'm hiring three interns right now. So if you know anybody who wants to be a part of kind of our group, I'm looking for a data analyst. I'm to basically help kind of comb through all my data and my content, see what works, see what does it? Two, I'm looking for a project, account manager slash project coordinator, basically try to replicate me. And then three, I'm looking for a video graphic editor. So somebody to make my videos look pretty. I would like pretty videos.

And so if you know anybody that's looking, please let me know. But I'm gonna go and dive into the reason why you're watching is why marketing the job search plate so close together. So here's the first thing. Marketing is about being top of mind. TikTok marketing is about being top of mind. Why do you think I do this every single morning? It's the beat top of mind. I joke all the time, recruiters or like doctors when things are like you only come and see us, when things are bad, but when things are about to get bad, it's usually you hit up somebody who's top of mind or referred to you.

And so that is why I do this live show every single morning or go live in some way, shape or form. So you see my face, my ugly mug every single morning. So when you are on the job search, you know somebody who's on the job search, I'll be the first person that you think about. That's the same thing when it comes to the job search. And I'm probably asking Taylor, that sounds great. I'm not a marketer. Listen, neither am I. I went to school for marketing. I have no idea how to do marketing. Right? I don't know any of the in and out of marketing.

But I will tell you this though, when it comes to marketing, it's about being top of mind. So it's a job secret probably asking Taylor, how can I incorporate this into my day to day? You have a live show. That's great. I don't wanna do a live show. I totally understand that. This is where when it comes to the three ways to use LinkedIn or social media in regards to networking. So you have one posting of content. If you post every morning, if you post one thing, one thing to document your job search or your career, that is content creation. That is staying top of mind.

Another thing that you can do to leverage. Right? Cathy always comments on my posts. Colin, Bavash, all of y'all are on and commented on my stuff every day. That is being top of mind. That is being top of mind. If I get a role that Cathy could be a fit for, who do you think I'm calling? I'm calling Cathy. And so that's the second way to use social media right now. If you're on the job search, is engaging. That is not talked about enough. I've had some conversations in the DMs. What was some people who have just flat out admitted, hey, I've done a poor job networking.

For me, that should not be an excuse with social media. Now, it is an excuse. I understand that. But that also should not be excuse when it comes to social media. How many of y'all sit on your couch at night watching Netflix? Right? Or Hulu? About HBO Max. That was pretty cool. I guess my cool show is on it. I watched Tiger Woods documentary. That's wild. But when you sit there, right, so many people need to audit their time. I've talked about this. But if you're just scrolling, mindlessly, you get through social media. That is where you get on LinkedIn. Comment post. All of that.

Yes, call them. That Tiger documentary was so good. So that is what you really, really need to do. When it comes to marketing, right, you have posting content, and then you have engagement with your community. I follow marketing Twitter on Twitter, the hashtag, and I follow a bunch of marketers that I really enjoy. And one thing they talk about is community engagement. You have huge, huge enterprise clients hiring basically social media people to engage with their community because that is an next generation, right? So again, as a job seeker, right, great tail, I can't hire social media person. That's fine. All you have to do is engage with people every single day, right?

Colin, I'll take, he's able for Colin, right? Colin is a job. He's great. But he and I have a joke. I'm going joke about the food he eats. I don't, I kind of started on one of our meetups we did jokingly and now it's a thing, right? So he occasionally emails me your text and me what he's eating. Colin, please let me know what you have for lunch this week and I'm actually very interested. That is how you do it, right? That is how you build interactions. That is how you engage with community. That is how you network when it comes to looking for a position right now, right?

Also when it comes to marketing, right? Your LinkedIn is top of the funnel to get somebody to ask you for your resume, right? I talk about this all the time. Do not include your resume on your LinkedIn. You want people to slide into your DMs and say, hey, Katya, love your LinkedIn profile. Do you have a resume, right? If you put your resume on your LinkedIn profile, people can just download it and then they don't have to have a conversation with you, right? You want to have intentional and intentional conversation often social media. I interview John Fly, director of software engineering at SmiledDirect. I think last week before, all my weeks get mixed up.

And he and I talked about engaging and there's another guy that I interviewed Joe LaGree, right? Joe said this best. Joe said, hey, you have to take in an unintentional conversation of social media and make it intentional offline, right? That is the power of networking and that is marketing, right? Marketing is all about taking these tiny interactions on the internet and making them meaningful, right? There's, I listen to Gary Vannertech. I'm a big fan of Gary Vannertech. Gary Vannertech does a podcast, which is brilliant, right? It's called Marketing for the now. Basically, he interviews all the CMOs for the clients that he probably wants to work with.

And the one of the most recent ones was talking about building fans, not just customers, right? And as an individual looking for a job, you need to become basically an individual who develops fans, right? Like I may fan of calling. I'm a fan of calling because of the funny things that we text about, right? I'm a fan of Cathy, because Cathy I always post on my stuff, right? I'm a fan of individuals who constantly engage with me and that is marketing. At the end of the day, marketing is being top of mind and engaging with community and making sure you build kind of this funnel, right?

And I understand, listen, you tell me Taylor, I have a job. I don't have time to do all this stuff. You do, you do. Because I will tell you this, no, I even tried to audit my time day and day out. And I still waste my time on certain things, right? I caught myself last night in bed scrolling mindlessly through Instagram, right? What did I do? I was tired. I actually put my phone up with the bed. But you can do so much more in LinkedIn and Twitter and whatever your networking platform or choice is, right? Let's say you're on, I mean, I put, I saw somebody post on Peloton.

I don't have a Peloton, but they're a really big on community, right? That's a wonderful way to develop community, right? And so again, you don't always have to be on LinkedIn. You don't always have to be on Twitter, but I think those are two incredible platforms to build community, build brands. And here's another thing, right? We talk about brand, right? As a developer, you're like, listen, my brand is just sit down and code. I get that, but what do you like, Coded? Well, Taylor, I love serverless stuff right now. Great, blog about it, type about it, document about it, right? Colin, if this, I wish people could jump into the live show like a radio or a video, I'd bring Colin on real quick.

That's a great idea, at Streamyard, that's a great feature where you can bring people in if they wanna come in. I would bring in Colin right now, because Colin wrote Colin, if you're still watching, what did you write like years ago about something? It was a blog and now it's like one of the most viewed blogs within that specific technical skill set. But Colin posted something that he was passionate about. He kind of did it as like him just trying to type stuff out to document and it's got thousands and thousands and thousands of views now. So there it is, there it is. Colin goes, how to make a horizontal scrolling container.

Yeah, listen, that sounds absolutely important as hell. I love you, Colin, but that sounds terrible. How to make a horizontal scrolling container? But Colin, how many views does it have? At me, how many views does it have? Because, thanks man, let me see it. Not that, hey, tell me how many views it has. Because again, right? Nobody would think over a million views on how to make a horizontal scrolling container. If you think that your story or your post doesn't matter, think about Colin and his horizontal scrolling container, post that now has over a million views. That's it. That's marketing. That's putting yourself out there.

It's engaging. It's commenting. It's liking other people's posts. Listen, that's all I got today. I just had an idea. I wanted to share this with you all. Be top of mind. Work on being top of mind, whether it's one post today, whether it's commenting like an engaging on people's post every day, whether it's blogging on some sort of media every day, whether it's DMing people. Be top of mind every single day, and you will be incredibly successful. Thank you all for listening to this morning. I appreciate it. Tomorrow morning, very excited.
